I'm glad that it's over.

I never thought I would say that, but I'm not really sure that there is a better way of putting it. This season was rough for a Michigan fan ... I can only imagine how it would feel being on the team. People ask if the team would have been this terrible if Lloyd had stayed. It's true that they wouldn't have been this bad at all. I'm not saying Richie Rod isn't the right guy for the job, I'm only saying that the situation would have been completely different. Losing amazing athletes and leaders to graduation is one thing, but losing another three phenomenal players for other reasons put Michigan in a bind ... a bind that left the 2008 football team as the worst in Michigan history.

From the eyes of an eternal optimist, I can see the bright side. It can all be summed up in the Legend of the Phoenix. If you've never heard of it, you should look it up. It you have heard of it, here's a reminder:

"The willing bird, to burn is his desire
So that he may live again; he's proud in death,
And goes in haste to gain a better breath
...and from the ashes, the renewed Phoenix rose."

Our time had come. And now we too will rise again.

I'll bleed maize and blue for life. Go Blue!

This is my blogspot.

So I've heard about this ... I've seen it ... and now I'm going to try it myself.
